Kia Haumaru - Hutt City Council

Launched in July 2024 by Hutt City Council, the Kia Haumaru Safer Centres Programme was developed by First Retail Group and delivered in partnership with the New Zealand Police. Addressing rising challenges of retail theft, antisocial behaviour and welfare concerns, First Retail Group delivered training to around 1000 front-line staff in the retail, hospitality, healthcare and service sectors across the district.
